Duties and Responsibilities

• In this role, you will participate in all aspects of the production process flow, from new product development, subsystem assembly, and system assembly and integration testing
• The individual must work with CAD in collaboration with hardware, software, process, and applications engineering
• The ability to work alongside vendors to introduce new products as well as improve the cost, quality, develop testing, and implement changes in orders and delivery
• Develop, document, and deploy tests plans for mechanical, electrical, and optical components and subsystems
• The ability to troubleshoot issues on the production floor and remotely
• Guide new product introduction to manufacturing from prototype through pilot and production release
• Deliver and propose continuous improvement projects 
• Update and produce assembly and testing documentation

Qualifications

• 2 to 7 years’ experience 
• Experienced in CAD modeling and drawing creation with GD&T
• Experience with building and assembly
• Pneumatics and Fluids system design knowledge
• Experience in the product lifecycle, from concept through production
• The ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and optical assemblies and systems
• Able to write manufacturing and test procedures
• Understanding circuits to be able to troubleshoot power, resistance, and current issues in a circuit and having a good knowledge of sensors
• Reading schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical systems

Physical Requirements

• Walk, stand, stoop, and reach regularly and sitting for extended periods of time
• Ability to maneuver within heavy machinery and manufacturing environment
• Manual dexterity and mobility to perform drafting work and computer operation for extended periods of time
• Clear speech suitable for interpersonal as well as telephone communications
• Visual acuity to perform all duties as described plus, accurate color and depth perception essential
• Physical and mental capability to handle multiple task and deadline requirements, interpersonal and informational conflicts, and pressure of responsibility for workplace output
• Agility to climb/crawl over and around large machinery in various types of manufacturing environments
